The "Team Do Sports Lab" : Sports medicine research using the IoT and AI to study the locomotorium, the cardiovascular system, the brain, and nutrition

As devices have advanced, various types of biometric data have become readily available in people’s everyday lives, and the quality of those data has improved. That said, ways to use those data (solutions) are still being devised.

This research is obtaining a life log of information (“big data”) such as electrocardiogram (ECG) data, the level of activity, and personal activity metrics (PAM) when average people participate in sports or when they perform routine actions. A PAM is a concept put forth by Osaka University. This research has 2 aims: 1) to analyze (through machine learning) data including aspects of the locomotorium, the cardiovascular system, the brain, and nutrition and 2) to develop AI to allow people to lead healthy lives while enjoying physical activity.
